This is a great way to use small pieces of fabric to make something delightful. In the recording below we show you how to make a unique necklace with a pouch to hold your precious mini trinkets close to your heart.
The complete piece is made from textiles found around the home and reminiscent of the Japanese Boro style of repair using small simple 'Sashiko' running stitches. |

You will need the following for this activity:
- Small scraps of textiles
- Wadding for the base - a felted jumper or blanket or fleece will work well
- Sewing kit - scissors, pins needle etc
- Glue stick*
- Sashiko thread or embroidery thread/floss or cotton thread doubled
- Small button and/or press stud
- Small beads*
