This is a great activity to do outdoors using yarn and textiles found around the home. The finished weaving looks great as a wall hanging or as temporary garden art.

Along with finding a suitable V shaped branch, please only select branches that have been naturally discarded, you only need a few other things for branch weaving:
- Scissors
- Darning needle or needle with a large eye (you can use your fingers but it can be fiddly)
- Variety of yarns, string, or fabric strips
- Kitchen fork or wide toothed comb*
- Secateurs* (to trim your branch to desired size)
*optional
