At our online event today, we showed participants how to make a handstitched fabric mushrooms from upcycled materials. In the film below you will find a recording showing you how to make a mushroom, and different ways to embellish their caps.

To make these mushrooms, you will need the following materials and equipment:
- Pattern template available via our website
- Red felt (or fleece or cotton fabric)
- Card (a cereal packet is ideal)
- Pen or pencil (for marking out pattern)
- Stuffing (old stuffing from a pillow or cushion or chopped up bit of soft fabric/yarn will work well)
- Sewing kit with red and white cotton
- Scissors
- Embroidery thread*
- Small white beads or buttons*
