This week in our Zoom workshop we showed participants how to make simple but effective tinkly wind chimes by upcycling bottle tops, keys, beads and many other materials and objects you'll have to hand.

For this activity we used:
- a tin can
- bottle tops
- beads and buttons
- strong thread
- a drawing pin to make holes
- a hammer to tap on the back of the drawing pin. Hint - a little bit of blue tack is helpful in holding the drawing pin in place and also to prevent injuries
If you look at the images on this page, you will see lots of other ideas using everyday household materials that you can use to make your wind chimes.
Metallic items work the best but try experimenting with different object by hanging them on a thread and tapping them against each other. You will be amazed at the different sounds they make!
